International programs

The International Program is a program specifically designed for UMS students so they can explore insights and educational experiences abroad with UMS partners. The International Program itself is divided into several types with different educational schemes as follows:

Double Degree Program (DD)

The DD program is an undergraduate program with multiple degrees, one degree awarded by UMS and the other degree awarded by UMS partner universities abroad. The length of study period at partner universities is determined by an MoU between UMS and overseas partner universities. International program students who are interested in taking DD can choose partner universities after entering semester 2+. For the DD 2 + 2 program, international program students will depart in semester 5. While for the DD 3 + 1 program, international program students will depart in semester 7. During the DD program students are exempt from tuition fees at UMS. For information on partner universities that work with UMS, and the schemes offered, please see the table.

note:
In addition to the fees listed above, students also pay their own fees for PP tickets, visa processing, living expenses while participating in the mobility program at partner universities (the amount of fees depends on the destination country, the program followed and the duration of stay in the country)

Student Exchange (Credit Transfer)

Student Exchange or Credit Transfer is a non-degree program to take undergraduate or postgraduate degrees at UMS partner universities for 1 or 2 semesters. There are partner universities that offer classes in English but some offer classes in non-English languages, for example Korean. While taking the Student Exchange, there are partner universities that provide tuition exemptions so that tuition is only paid to UMS. However, there are also universities that still require students who take part in the student exchange program to pay tuition fees at the university. If so, the student is exempted from the SPP bill at UMS.

Internship

Internship is a non-degree program with a duration of less than 1 semester. Usually students will be placed in industrial places that already have collaborations with foreign partner universities. With this program, it is hoped that students will be able to get to know the work culture abroad.

Summer Course

The summer course is a non-degree program with a duration of less than 1 month. Usually students are given the opportunity to take part in lectures delivered by lecturers from overseas partner universities, besides that students also get the opportunity to get to know local culture. This program can be held for all study programs that carry out international programs as long as they meet the minimum quota required by overseas partner universities.
